Earth's Spraying Energy

To get Geothermal energy we must drill deep down in the earth. When you drill holes deep down in the earth you have advantages and disadvantages.

If you drill down into the earth you have to do it in a power plant which is not environmental friendly, because you have to cut down a lot of trees and some plants takes up a lot of space.
Geothermal energy works when you drill deep holes in the earth and when water goes into the holes and heats up because the inside of the earth is hot. The steam shoots up like a geyser, and makes a turbine spins which creates electricity.

The advantage of geothermal energy is that it is not pollutant source, not much fuel needed, is renewable, Once you build a power plant the energy is almost free it may need some energy to run a pump, does not contribute to the greenhouse gases.

The disadvantage of geothermal energy is that hazardous gases and minerals may come up from the geysers and they are hard to dispose off. Sometimes time’s geothermal sites run out of steam, perhaps for decades.

Geothermal energy is used near the borders of Asia, Australia, North America, and South America. People also call all these places The Ring of Fire because they make a shape of a ring. The Power plants are all around boundaries near earthquakes and volcanoes because the water that goes down in the holes comes out faster due to the volcanoes heat.

I liked how you had a picture as a reference to what you said. I never knew that there was a geothermal plant in Australia. Why doesn't a geothermal plant pollute at all? or how does it?
